Fire
Risk Assessment: The fire risk assessment constitute various processes of modeling and scoring hazard safety parameters to produce a rapid and simple estimate of the relative risk. Our risk assessment involves: · Identifying the appropriate fire hazard characteristics. · Identifying the appropriate measures of the fire response characteristics. · Normalizing the needed fire protection measures to a consistent scale. · Combining all factors to yield assessment of fire risk. The approach of our risk assessment involves death, injury, property loss, Ignition potential. Maintenance Service When a customer purchases a fire extinguisher from our company, a maintenance card is filled by his name. This card includes information specifying customer or organization name, address, contact person, type of extinguishers, date of service, date maintenance due and the name of the salesman who serviced him. What is "maintenance" and how is it performed? Powder fire extinguishers have a warranty of two years as of date of purchase. After this period, the extinguisher should be inspected and serviced for maintenance to insure optimum efficiency. During the period of two years, the external climate surrounding the extinguisher causes the inner extinguishing agent to capture humidity and gradually lose its fire extinguishing properties and efficacy. During maintenance, our service teams visit our customers' premises to pick up their expired extinguishers for a period of 3-5 days maximum (until they service the extinguishers) and instead they supply the customers with other company owned extinguishers (in case of any fire hazard, God Forbid). The expired extinguishers are brought into our workshop where they are disunited in all. The powder is drained into designated dehumidifying and refilling machines where the dampness is exhausted off of them. The valves of the extinguisher are cleaned, checked for any deficiencies, the o-rings are changed at the intersections, the horns are tested, and the hoses inspected for any cuts, cracks, or particles stuffing the clear flow of the extinguishing agent. The parts of the extinguishers are then re-assembled. If needed the extinguishers are given a new coat of paint of the original color, new labels are fixed on the extinguishers together with stickers identifying their new expiry date. The extinguishers are then returned to the customers by our service teams where they are mounted on their brackets (or left in their original positions), the company extinguishers are retrieved and the customer is invoiced for maintenance while his customer database file is updated for two new years. |
