System Components & Specifications

Fire Alarm Control Panels:

  • The PFC-6000 series addressable fire alarm control panels can support from 30 to 1,016 points.
  • The PFC-6000 Series fire panels have the ability to connect to a Local or Wide Area Network (LAN or WAN) and obtain an IP address. Once connected, the panel configuration software allows custom programming and configuration for all points using the network or a stand-alone computer.
  • The PFC-6000 Series include a built-in UL Listed sole path IP communicator for communication to primary central station.

Detection & Manual Devices:

  • Three main types of detectors: the photoelectric smoke detector (PSA), rate of rise/fixed temperature heat detector (RHA), and combined photoelectric smoke/heat sensor (PSHA).
  • PSA: Wide selectable sensitivity range 1.05 - 3.82 % /foot, sensor communicates sensitivity to control panel, UL listed calibration and sensitivity, optional locking tab to prevent unwanted removal, simple and accurate address setting without mechanical switches, LEDs for 360o viewing
  • RHA: Adjustable fixed 57oC to 79oC, rate of rise feature with 10-12 oF per minute detection, reliable detection technology, low profile, LEDs for 360o viewing
  • PSHA: Wide sensitivity range 1.05 to 3.82 %/foot and 57oC restorable heat detector, sensor communicates sensitivity to control panel, UL listed calibration and sensitivity, optional locking tab to prevent unwanted removal, simple and accurate address setting without mechanical switches, LEDs for 360o viewing
  • Addressable pull station: single or dual action versions, durable die-cast construction, reset key matches the control panels, compatible with all PFC-6000 panels.

Notification Devices:

  • Various addressable alarm notifications such as electronic horns, selectable candela strobes, and horn/strobes.
  • Electronic horns: low profile with dependable audible output at the lowest current available, offers a continuous or synchronizable temporal three in 2400Hz and mechanical tone, a chime, and whoop tone. The tones are easily changed using switches.
  • The strobes and horn/strobe 24 VDC series offer tamperproof field selectable candela options of 15, 30, 60, 75, and 110 candela.

Auxiliary Devices:

  • Various control modules are compatible with the PFC-6000 such as twin relay modules (TRM-4) and Dual Contact modules (DCM-4).
  • TRM-4: activates in correlation with initiating devices (detectors, pull stations), used for applications like elevator recall, AHU shutdown, or where general purpose relays are needed.
  • DCM-4: interface module used to monitor dry contact devices such as sprinkler water flow, valve tamper switches, and kitchen suppression systems
